Linkage Programs

Through linkage programs, very competitive postbaccalaureate prehealth students may be considered for entry into medical school for the fall directly following the completion of our postbaccalaureate program.

Generally speaking, students must maintain a 3.6 GPA and score above the 88th percentile on the MCAT (general minimums for the 2015 MCAT have not been determined) to be eligible to apply through linkage. For all linkage programs candidates must complete all prerequisite courses by the spring semester, and we recommend you plan to take the MCAT in April as requested application dates are subject to change. Competitive candidates not only have strong grades and high MCAT scores, but they also have extensive healthcare experience through volunteering as well as a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Students must meet individually with the Director of the Postbacc Program to review their qualifications, and to assess the strength of their candidacy to apply through linkage. They may only apply to one linkage program, and must be committed to entering that medical school in the year for which they apply if offered admission.
